February- the month of love

February – the month where love is in the air!  All the heart shaped candies, the scrumptious chocolates and the beautiful flowers decorating the stores. 

Don’t forget all the fun classroom parties where children are exchanging Valentine’s with a piece of candy in them.  Oh, what a childhood memory that is for me.  I grew up in a one room school where there were a total of eight other children.  That being said, I only had one girl in my class.  Needless to say, every holiday was something to look forward to for sure.  We’d always make homemade Valentine’s and to this day I still love making them with my grandkids.

The simple pleasures of life are always in front of me daily.  May you enjoy this month of memories of your first love and always stay young at heart…
